Going Deep: Cultivating people of spiritual depth is a pastor’s top priority” by Gordon MacDonald. Christianity Today Leadership Journal, June 27, 2011.

Christ in You Ministries – Jim Fowler’s web site with an enormous amount of great information.

Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) – A fantastic weekly Bible study with group discussions, available internationally both in-person at a church near you and online via Zoom. The current study for Fall 2024 – Spring 2025 is on the book of Revelation.

Mere Christianity, by C. S. Lewis – An excellent and readable summary of the basics of Christianity, starting at zero and building up step-by-step from there. Written from WWII radio talks by C. S. Lewis (author of the Chronicles of Narnia series) for RAF airmen who, sadly, had a good chance of not making it back.

Epic: The Story God is Telling, by John Eldredge – An excellent little book very well worth reading (and inexpensive) that summarizes the plot of the story of the Bible as acts in a play.

Beautiful Outlaw, by John Eldredge – What was Jesus really like? What was His character? John Eldredge shows us his joyful, playful, generous side, and more.

What If It’s True?: A Storyteller’s Journey with Jesus, by Charles Martin. Renowned novelist Charles Martin talks about Jesus and faith. Like Eldredge, opening up Jesus’s character.

Jesus from Genesis to Revelation, by Steve Troxel – Jesus is the subject and theme of the entire Bible from start to finish. Steve Troxel shows how.

A Christian’s Pocket Guide to Loving The Old Testament: One Book, One God, One Story, by Alex Motyer. This is a fantastic little book about the Old Testament and its relationship to the New Testament and the Bible as a whole. Available at reasonable price from several sources, including Amazon.

Warriors of the Net video – Ever wonder how the Internet works? This is a fascinating animated video showing what does what and how
